IN MOTION
Missoula In Motion (MIM) was founded in 1997. It is a program of the Transportation Division of the City of Missoula's Public Works Department. MIM encourages the many sustainable transportation options available to individuals and workplaces through fiscally responsible strategies and best practice programs.

I am truly grateful for opportunities to help others discover a new commute and experience the benefits of sustainable transportation. Whether it's seeing someone simplify their commute because of a nearby bus line, or helping them navigate a safer bike route to work, I am ininspired by the impacts we can have on changing our community one trip at a time.

Riding my bike into the office downtown gives me a chance to really take in the world around me. I see my neighbors start their day, pause at stoplights for pedestrians to cross, and feel my own heartbeat pulse as I pedal and glide.

Taking the bus will always be my favorite. A professional driver takes me to work and drives me home when I'm done and it's zero-fare! I just relax, look out the window, and smile at other riders going about their days, too. There is something about it that just feels really special.

Our mission at Missoula In Motion is to increase the use of sustainable transportation in and around Missoula.
VISION
Our vision for Missoula is a connected transportation network that is safe, accessible, affordable, and desirable for everyone and contributes to a cleaner environment, healthier individuals and a more vibrant place to live, work and play.
EVALUATION
Missoula In Motion undergoes periodic internal review to ensure programs and services are not only meeting the needs of Missoulians, but are deploying Transportation Options effectively. Missoula In Motion releases an annual report and presents to the Missoula City Council, partners and stakeholders regularly.
