Bike

Have fun, get fit, start out your day energized and do your part for the environment. Bicycling can be one of the most enjoyable ways to commute to work. Rather than suffering through the stress of driving to work, the exercise you get from biking can actually help you relieve stress.

Missoula is a bike-friendly town where it's as simple to hop on your cruiser bike as it is to drive your SUV. Opportunities abound with an extensive and growing on- and off-street commuter network and tons of resources to get you rolling.

In fact, since 2003 Missoula has been awarded silver status by the League of American Bicyclists. Their Bicycle Friendly Community campaign recognizes communities that actively support bicycling by providing safe accommodation for cycling and encouraging residents to bike for transportation and recreation. For more information on this program and Missoula’s place in it, go to League of American Bicyclists.

To get started cycling in Missoula, pick up a bike map at the Missoula In Motion office at 127 W. Spruce Street or visit the City Bicycle Pedestrian Office.
